The Crow

I quick portrait that I decided to turn into a character study of one of my all time favourite movies. Perhaps later I will insert a more detailed background like a gothic church or grave yard.

The Loyal Spartan

A colour ink sketch I did for a painting thats yet to happen. Applying quite a few layers of the ink allows one to build up to something that almost resembles paint. The down side is that its time comsuming and the large amount of ink warps the paper.

The Billy Boys

My salute to Jack Vetriano's masterpiece, the colours were changed to brighter shades as I used this one to light up a room in my flat.

Exodus

Something I did at work using Photoshop and the mouse, the main ship was done first and then replicated and added in with the background.

Clark Kent

This one was coming for the longest time, can't get enough of comic book art. I found this image on the net and photoshopped in another background and painted that up in acrylics.

The Torch Bearer

A quick sketch I did at work while busy with a poster for Fifa and the local government. After days of drawing characters for a soccer youth project I was dying to do something a little less normal, a month later after the project I had time to paint it. The lady at work sitting next to me had issues with how I was portraying an "angel" and of course I printed this one out and stuck it on my desk just for her.

Seascape

One of the first paintings I did with oils, this one is hanging in the lounge. The idea was to create a scene that would be pleasing to look at especially on days I could not go outside. Now I feel I should of added some castle ruins in the background just to hint at a bit of a fantasy setting. Hmmm, the road not taken......

The Sick Parent

This I did for a pamphlet I created for a Aids support foundation for single mothers. They wanted an image of a sickly woman in poor living conditions, not really what I enjoy doing but it was something different and for a good cause.

Forest

I painting I had to do twice as my Mom damaged the original that was done on hardboard. She decided to nail through the painting itself when she hung it and so I redid it on canvas with acrylics. And yes, I hung this one myself.

Lady at the wall

Just a quick drawing exercise using the new drawing tablet I got. For this one I sketched and painted everything with the tablet, usually I do a pencil sketch and scan it in.

Spidey

This I did in Acrylics, on canvas, for a friend. His kid is a huge fan and the parents wanted originally a mural but due to time constraints this was the next best option.
